3 years ago DavidWilsonHomes started their prestigious Chapelford development near Great Sankey in Warrington. This huge high profile development is creating a new town with mixed housing, shopping and commercial infrastructure on the site of the old RAF base at Burtonwood over a ten year period. Planning requirements stated that no mud and contaminants were allowed to go off the site on to the highway.
They had previously hired our Ecoclean 200 unit on other sites and decided to look at the options. It soon became clear that they were convinced that our system was the best and the cheapest option. Their site manager Bob Deller said " We realised very quickly that with the DTS system on site we no longer needed to hire a roadsweeper because no mud was getting out on to the surrounding highways."
Instead of hiring our unit they looked at the economics and decided to buy. This wise decision not only saved them over £100,000 over the ten year life of the development, which was the difference between purchase and hire cost, but they estimate that the saving on roadsweepers over the same period was between a massive £500,000 and £800,000.
